If you sell something, take bookings, or post your work online, you have run into this problem. Instagram gives you one place to put a link, and you have five things you want people to see.
There is good news. Instagram changed this. You can now add up to five links to your bio, and it takes about a minute. This guide shows you how, and then explains when five links are enough and when a single page works better.
How to add links to your Instagram bio
You can do this on your phone in under a minute.
- Open Instagram and go to your profile.
- Tap Edit profile.
- Tap Links, then Add external link.
- Paste your web address and give it a short title.
- Tap Done.
Repeat for each link, up to five. The title is what people see, so write something clear. "Book a shoot" tells people more than "Website".
Why your links might not be showing
A few things trip people up:
- Only the first link shows as a preview. The rest appear when someone taps to see all of them. Put your most important link first.
- Personal accounts sometimes see fewer options. If you do not see the Links menu, update the app, then check again.
- A link must be a full web address. Instagram will reject a link that
does not start with
https://.
When five links are enough
Five links are enough when your list is short and it does not change.
A restaurant with a menu, a booking page, and a directions link is well served. So is a writer with a newsletter and two published pieces. If you can name everything you want to share, and that list will look the same in six months, use Instagram's own links and stop reading here. You do not need another tool.
When one page works better
The five-link limit starts to hurt in four situations.
You have more than five things
This is the obvious one. A seller with eight products, a photographer with four packages and a price list, a musician with releases across three platforms — five slots run out quickly.
Your links change often
Instagram's links are fine to edit, but you edit them inside the app, one at a time, on a phone. If you are swapping a link every week for a new drop or a new event, that becomes a chore.
You want to know what people actually tap
Instagram does not tell you how many people tapped each link. You can see how many people visited your profile, but not which link they chose. If you are deciding what to make next, that gap matters.
You are not only on Instagram
This is the one people miss. Your links are on Instagram. They are not on WhatsApp, in your email signature, on a poster, or in your YouTube description. Every place needs its own copy, and every change means updating all of them.
A single page fixes that last one properly. You share one web address everywhere. When something changes, you change the page, and every place you ever shared it is correct.
How a link page works
A link page is one web address that holds everything. Yours would look like
cardless.club/yourname.
You put your links on it, in whatever order you want. You can also add photos, videos, music, text, and your phone number so people can save you to their contacts in one tap. Then you put that one address in your Instagram bio, and anywhere else you need it.
Three things make this worth doing:
- The address never changes. Change what is on the page as often as you like. Anyone who saved your link still lands in the right place.
- You can see what people tap. Not just how many visited, but which links they chose and where they came from.
- It works everywhere. The same address goes in your bio, your messages, your email signature, and on anything you print.
Setting one up
Making a page on Cardless Club is free, and it stays free. You get:
- One page, at an address with your name in it
- As many links as you want
- Photos, videos, music and text
- Your contact details, ready for people to save
- A sign-up box to collect emails
- 5 ready-made looks
- Visitor numbers for the last 30 days
A small Cardless Club mark stays at the bottom of free pages, and you can pick a look but not change its colours yet. Both of those lift on a paid plan, which is not open yet.
Make your page — it takes about two minutes.
Questions
Does Instagram allow more than one link now?
Yes. You can add up to five links to your bio. Only the first shows as a preview, and people tap to see the rest.
Do link pages hurt my reach on Instagram?
No. There is no evidence Instagram treats a link page differently from any other web address. This is a common worry with no support behind it.
Do I need to pay for a link page?
Not with Cardless Club. The free plan is a real plan, not a trial. Some tools do charge, so check before you commit.
Can I use my own web address instead?
Not on Cardless Club yet. Your page lives at cardless.club/yourname. Custom
addresses are planned, but we do not advertise features before they work.
What happens if I change my name later?
Your old name becomes free for someone else to take, and your old link stops working. Pick a name you will still be happy with next year.
The short version
If you have fewer than five links and they never change, use Instagram's own link feature. It is free and it is right there.
If your list is longer, changes often, or needs to work outside Instagram too, put one page in your bio and manage everything from there.
Either way, do not make people ask you for a link.
